Why does my bottle of teapills smell like alcohol when I open it?
It's common to notice a strong alcohol smell when you first open a bottle of teapills. This is perfectly normal and nothing to be concerned about. During the final stages of pill formation and coating, ethyl alcohol is often used to aid in the drying process. While most of the alcohol evaporates during this stage, small amounts can remain trapped on the coating of the pills when they are bottled and sealed.
As you open the bottle, the trapped residue of alcohol along with the smell of herbs is released into the air, leading to the noticeable smell. Rest assured; the alcohol used in this process is safe. With subsequent openings of the bottle, the smell will gradually dissipate. It's important not to intentionally leave the bottle open, as doing so could risk contamination or accidental ingestion, especially by children. Keep the bottle properly sealed when not in use to maintain the quality and safety of the teapills.
