The Treatment of Chinese Herbs with Sulfur Fumigation

Why are so many Chinese herbs treated with sulfur? Although the widespread application of sulfur dioxide to Chinese herbs has gone on for decades, the effects of this process has received scant attention. In this seminar, the definitions, issues, and challenges regarding the use of sulfur fumigation on Chinese herbs will be discussed. Resources will be provided to attendees to enhance their knowledge and familiarity with this dubious processing of herbs. Taught by Skye Sturgeon, DAOM. See you there!
